IRTrans Systray hangs with "Waiting for IRTrans Server" ...

Postby dogmatix » Wed 20. May 2009, 13:58

I installed the IRTrans on OrigenAE S14 running Windows Vista Home Premium. Windows reports the IRTrans USB device correctly with the drivers (installed during Windows Setup). However, if I use the "Learn" option from the IRTrans System Tray, the resulting window hangs with "Waiting for IRTrans Server" message ... I have tried installing the IRTrans USB Service and it it up and running ...

After installing the IRTrans, the original VFD message "Welcome to HTPC" was replaced by current date and time. So, I am assuming that install did happen correctly. I also see a red led flicker on VFD anytime I press a key on any remote.

I am trying to configure the remote to power on/off the case.

Can anyone help?

1. If the irserver is installed as a service itranstray.exe is NOT allowed to run - it tries to start the irserver which is already running as a service.

2. All learning and configuration shall be done using the IRTrans GUI Client.
