IRTrans Wifi looses connection

I have installed the IRTrans Wifi and I have it learn and transmit signals appropriately.

The problem is that it seems to loose the wifi connection fairly often even though it is in an area that seems to have a fairly strong signal. When the IRTrans Wifi looses the connection the red LED lights up and I have to physically unplug the device and plug it back in.

so 1) why is it dropping out so often ?
2) even if it does drop out why doesn't it automatically reconnect? why do I have to unplug it and plug it back in?


any adjustments I can do to improve this ?

we have released a new firmware that improves stability and reconnection when the connection is lost.
It furthermore features a complete Webserver for configuration of the device.

Please send us an Email stating the exact version of the IRTrans WiFi device you have (IRDB, RS232).
Then we will send you a firmware update.
