Hi, i've got an IRTrans LAN-DB module and i need to control 4 Daikin split unit.
I saw the 4-way external transmitter but the maximum lenght of the cable is about 5 metres... is there some possibility to extend it (20m each)? Also using regenerators or similar hardware? Because the alternative is to bought 4 IRTran LAN-DB: more expensive but not too much, but in future with another project i need to control 30-40 split unit and the cost of 30-40 IRTrans LAN-DB is very very very expensive.
What can i do? No problem if i need to build a custom hardware solution :D Thank you

Hi,
in general there is no way to extend the Transmitters that far.

Furthermore all Transmitters send the same signal - that means all Air Conditioners will receive the same IR codes.

Ok, but if there was a method to extend the transmitter i could enable/disable each way by external hardware control.
So, if i want to control some ir devices independently (from 4-5 to 30-40) what do you recomend? There is an IRTrans product that can do this? Thank you.

For independent control you can use the IRTrans LAN Controller devices (4 - 16 outputs, depending on the version).

However, the problem with the cable length remains. Maybe place some devices so that 2x5m or 4x5m cable length is sufficient.
Otherwise you will need one IRTrans device per room.
