Hi,
I simply would like to know what is the purpose of the Mediacontroller 3.5 m-jack female plug. Is it an IR output or an IR input?

Hi,
it is an IR Input for our IR receivers. It is a new feature of the latest HW revision (3.8).

The IR Transmitter output is routed through the Mini DIN 8 connector.
