IRTRans PoE with High Power Transmitter - Which Connector?

Postby iRTransUser » Tue 27. Jul 2010, 17:01

Hi,

I am using IRTrans PoE hardware v2.2 or later with an external high power transmitter. Sometimes, if the device to be controlled (a Velux skylight) is in bright sunshine the IR signal doesn't get recieved. The original skylight remote control, held in the same place as the IRTrans high power transmitter always works.

Perhaps I don't have the highest power setting for the external high power transmitter

I have the power jumper set to "upper output" (as per "IRTrans Transmitter_EN.pdf") (i.e. the jumper is on the pins closest to the Ethernet jack).

Which of the two stereo phone connectors should I be using for the highest power transmitter. The stereo phone jack closest to the Ethernet jack or the one furthest away?

Thanks

Hi,
if the jumper is set on the upper pins (next to the LAN Connector) the Transmitter should be connected to the upper 3,5mm socket.

"upper 3,5mm socket" = one closest to Ethernet jack?

Thanks
