I have an IRTrans USB (v3.06 written on bottom). I misplaced the power supply and need to buy a new one. Since I'm in Canada it's cheapest for me to just buy one at a local Radio shack etc.

Could you tell me the specs for the power supply I need? (eg: 12v DC, 750ma)

Hi,
something around 9V DC with >= 300mA will be fine.

Please make sure that it has got a connector with an inner diameter of 2,1mm (and not 2,5mm) !

ok - I guess the irtrans has an internal voltage regulator. Is there a max voltage? (if I find a 12v 500ma power supply will that be ok)

12V would also be fine.

The max. is 16V - however the higher the voltage the more has to be converted into heat.
