Which firmware version does your device have?

The version on my IRTrans WiFi is:

WiFi Version R4.3.6
IR Version W6.08.10

When I checked the version the same thing happened. I tried to login on the webinterface (http) and when I pressed the Login button the device stopped responding. I had to reboot it to be able to login.

Hi,
that is the current version of the Firmware.

So far we do not know of any compatibility issues with this FW version.

How often does the device loose the connection?

It lost connection after approximately a week last time. The strange thing is it only looses the connection on http. I can still ping the device or use the GUIClient towards the device.

I will continue to run it for a couple of weeks and see if the same thing happens every week.

Thanks for your responses.

Hmm, that is interesting.

Do you only use http connectivity (can you still ping the IRTrans and use the IRTrans SW)?
How does the device blink when that happens?

I will let you know how it blinks when it happens the next time and then I will check more in detail what works and what doesn't.

It happened sooner than I expected so here is what happens.

I cannot access the http loginpage or send IR commands over http.
I can ping the device.
I can send IR-commands to the device with the GUIClient.
The led on the back and the led inside of the box (you can see it through the plastic case) is constantly green.
The led on top doesn't light at all.
When I send an IR-command on http there is no reaction on any of the leds.

If I reboot the device by switching power on and off the http connection is working as usual again.

OK, then this is a different issue. Looks like the http server does no longer respond.

No idea what causes this - we have not seen that here so far.

Could you use UDP to send IR as a work around?

UDP could be a workaround but I have to check first. Is it possible to reboot the device from UDP?

I don't think so, however we could easily add that.
