Define an executable for a button in apps.cfg?

Postby globulus » Sun 22. May 2011, 22:01

Hi-

I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer to yet:
I'd like to launch an executable from a button press on my remote. I'm using the remote with Hulu desktop and it's working fine (after assigning Esc to the back button), but the Hulu app occasionally needs killing/restarting. I'm going to code a small program that will attempt to kill the Hulu desktop process (if it's running) and then launch a fresh hulu desktop process, and I'd like to have this program run via a button press (one of the colored ones, I suppose).

I see in the apps.cfg file how the remote can assign keyboard values to button presses and how there seem to be control profiles defined for different applications, but I can't find an example of assigning an exe launch to a button press. Is this possible?

thanks!
