Sending UDP Commands without received IR Command

Postby ludwig.xiv » Fri 12. Sep 2008, 07:51

Hi,

I am using IR Trans Ethernet with an IR Remote Control on the one hand and with Irecco for Nokia N800 on the other Hand. I have to send UDP Commands via Ethernet to Light Controller (Allnet 3000RF MK2) to switch on and off several power plugs.

When I use IR Remote Control IRTrans received IR Command and sends UDP Package to Light Controller. N800 with Irecco does not send a native IR signal for the learned Key but only a command via Ethernet. So IR Trans does not receive IR Signal and sends not UDP Package. I can see, that IR Trans sends an Infrared Signal after it received commande from N800. Is it possible that IRTrans sends this IR signal and then receives the same IR signal to trigger UDP Command?

Link to Irreco with N800: http://irreco.garage.maemo.org/

Thanks and regards,

Ludwig

You should try to get the Irecco to access the UDP-socket on the light controller directly, without taking a detour over IR, i.e. using IRTrans. Ask in a Irecco forum/mailing list.
