Hello All,
If i upload an HTML file into my IR Trans XL and the file is called "test1.html" What web address do i call to get the page to display?

e.g. ip address of ir trans xl = 10.75.0.2
do i put into my browser
"http://10.75.0.2/test1.html"

to get the html page to be displayed?

the html pages are in the directory "/html".

Thankyou for that. I haved tried it but it has been un successfull

i get an "HTTP 404 page not found" error when i try to acces the webpage

THe steps i follow are

get html file with some web links on it for test. file = book.htm
load book.htm using IR TRans Gui Client
enter "http://10.75.0.40/html/book.htm" into web address
and i get the error.

Can you tell me if i am doing something wrong?

sorry for the delay.

I just checked it and the path is correct.

I suppose your problem is, that the file ends on .html and not on .htm.

If that does not help you did not upload the file correctly. You will need to use the HTML Upload page of the GUI Client select the files you want to upload and press "Flash".

Thanks, I have it working now. BUT i now have another problem, I have reprogramed the html files into two irtrans xls several times and now they don't seem to be updating the files any more
1 IRTrans xl will display the pages sometimes and other times tell me the pages aren't available
the other irtrans serves me an old version of my webpages regardless of what i flash into it.

Is there any way to re-initialise the html storage area in these devices?
(i have tried flashing them with no files and it succeeds saying 4 bytes flashed, but the problem still exists)
I have attached my html files incase they are any use

Hi,
I rather think that the problem is that your PC is not refreshing it's cache.

Please try another browser or PC.

Hello IR Trans,
I had already tried 3 different pc's using both IE and firefox both before and after clearing the cache. When i got to flash the html pages, on two occasions I have received the "error flashing HTML Pages" error.

Hi,
hmm, I have tested that here and it works OK.

However, what I see is that you have quite large single files (> 50k). The embedded webserver of the IRTrans device is rather slow
as it has very limited resources. Therefore you might get timeouts with very large files. I would recommend to use no single files larger than
2-4KB.

Of course you can also put the HTML files on any webserver you have.
