Sending IR code when code is already in IRDB

Postby stephane » Mon 19. Jan 2009, 21:17

Hi,

I have a POE IRTrans. I've uploaded the IR database with some IR codes.

I can send these codes with an HTTP request, for example ; it works fine.
But if I try to send these codes with an IR remote control, I see that the IRTrans receives the command (led blinking green), but no IR code is emitted by the IRTrans.
If I send an IR code which is not in the IR database, I see the led blink red, and the IR code is relayed by the IRTrans.

How can I send an IR code via HTTP and via the remote control ?

Regards,

Hi,
what exactly do you want to do:

- Send a received IR Code using Self Repeat ? - That works. I just tested it myself.
- Translate the code using the IR Translator ?

Using IR Translation and IR Database at the same time is not possible because both options need totally different memory structures.

Hi,

Self Repeat works fine when IR database is empty, for any IR code. It's my primary use, because my AVR and DVD players are inside a cabinet.

I've tried recently to download some IR codes into IRTrans database. It works fine and I'm able to send IR code through a HTTP command.
But the drawback is that I'm not able to use Self Repeat anymore for these IR codes. When I send one of these IR code (present in database) with a regular remote control, I see IRTrans green LED blink, but not the red one (and of course my AVR is not receiving any IR code).

I'm not using IR Translator.
When I send an IR code, I just want it to be relayed to my devices in the cabinet.
Self Repeat is checked in the configuration pages of my IRTrans.

That is strange. Yesterday I tried that out myself - self repeat of a command that is in the IRDB works fine with my test device.

Which firmwareversion does your IRTrans have ?

Well, that is quite old ...

Please send us an Email to support@irtrans.de to get a firmware update.
