timeout error

Postby AFI » Wed 18. Feb 2009, 18:13

I am getting a timeout error when the device is pinged -

“ping –t 10.11.13.211” and when I press any RCU key you get a “remote timeout” in the ping.

Please let me know what is causing this and how to reslolve this issue.

Thanks,
afi

Hmm, you mean if you send IR Codes while pinging you get a timeout for the ping ?

To be honest, we have never tried that out. However, that might happen because the resources of the Ethernet controller are limited,
therefore I a ping (that has the lowest priority of all Ethernet packages) might get dropped. As ICMP does not have any redudancy the package will not be repeated.

However, I do not see any problems caused by that behaviour.
