Q re POE and External High-power IR LED

Postby heinz » Mon 19. May 2008, 03:36

Can I use the High-power IR with IRTrans POE connection only for power or do I have to add a directly connected power supply?

TIA

Hi,
the external High Power Transmitter can be used with the PoE Device via PoE (without an external Power Supply).

The Supply via PoE is quite strong - therefore that is no problem at all.

Got my transmitter today. Thank you.

The instructions accompanying it do not mention the Ethernet POE model re the jumper placement and the pictures don't quite match.

Where should the jumper go?

Hi,
there are 2 jumpers behind the 3,5mm sockets.
The lower is for the lower socket, the upper for the upper one.
You can choose one of them - which one does not matter.
