We have another problem with a translation. It seems like device IRTrans LAN I/O (lan firmaware L1.10.30, IR firmware E6.08.10) does not translate the commands. Another device IRTrans Ethernet Poe (IR firmware E6.08.23, lan firmware L1.11.00) translates it fine (first three commands on the screenshot).

Below you can see two remotes, translate file and a part of received IR codes. As you can see we try to translate dream command "onoff" to sony command "onoff" but IRTrans LAN I/O receives command as it is and does not translate it (last two commands on the screenshot).

How can we make the translation work on the IRTrans LAN I/O?

Hi,
translating codes for the Dreambox is very difficult. The reason simply is that the codes are always a bit different depending on how long you press the button of the remote control. You might need to learn 4 or 5 versions of these IR Codes to translate them. Please note that sending the codes is never a problem.

The problem surely is that the codes are not received the same way each time.

You might update the firmware of the LAN IO to the current version. To do so please send us an Email.

Hello,

we have found the parameters under which we receive the correct IR codes from dreambox remote (not a bit different but exactly the same every time) and with these parameters IRTrans Ethernet PoE translates commands perfectly fine. The issue for now is that the LAN I/O does not translate commands at all (dreambox or something else). We for sure try to update our LAN I/O to the current version.

Hi,
I am quite sure that there is a configuration problem if the LAN IO does not translate at all.

Please check which firmware versions your devices have.

Are the correct codes detected (in "Detected IR Commands") ?

Please note that using a SW version that is older than the FW version might cause such problems.

It is obvious that correct codes are detected in "Detected IR Commands" - they have name "dream". We have sent an e-mail already about the update for our LAN I/O device.

Hmm, difficult to say.

We have already sent you the firmware update via Email.

We have just updated our LAN I/O device. There is still no translation. Furthermore not to affect dream remote (due to it's "difficult" codes) we try to translate sony command "1" to sony command "onoff" and when we push button 1 there is command "1" in the "Received IR codes".

Hi,
no idea - there has to be a problem with the configuration or with your translation.

We have hundreds of customers using IR Translation with those devices and I tested it 2 weeks ago due to your first problems.

Are you using our current SW or an older version? Using old SW together with new FW might be a problem, too.

Did you install both parts of the FW update?
