External IR support

I have the Ethernet POE units. One the built in DB and one without.

Can I use the them with external IR transmitters?

yes of course you can connect external transmitters.

The devices have two connectors that are transmitting the same signal.

I should have asked if they also support external receivers?

I would like to install an external high freq receiver to isolated a problem that I am having with an LCD TV.
