LAN Multistream database

Postby rschmidt » Wed 6. Apr 2011, 14:45

I'm trying to upload IR commands to the Multistream's integrated IR database.
The IR server runs and connects succesfully with the Multistream unit (IR version E6.06.30, Ethernet version L1.10.12), but when I start the IR Trans client (7.0.27.35771) and select "mode > device database" a message saying "result: [4 -3 ] timeout" appears.
Sending IR from the local IR server database works without problem though ...

So, how do I upload the IR commands from the local database to the Multistream's integrated IR database?

Hi,
please check if you are using a current SW version. Earlier SW versions do not support the IRTrans Multistream device.

You can also download a current version from our website.

Thanks, that worked!

I have one more question: I'm using the UDP ASCII protocol for sending IR codes out through one of the outputs (snd <remote>,<command>,[ledselect],[sendmask]).
But whatever I try, the command is always sent to all the outputs of the Multistream, can you tell me what the format is I have to use in order to send the command to a single output?

Hi,
to select ports with the Multistream device the sendmask is used.

It is a bitmask and allows to select any combination of ports:

1 = Port 1
2 = Port 2
4 = Port 3
8 = Port 4
16 = Port 5
....
16384 = Port 15
32768 = Port 16

7 would select Port 1 + 2 + 3.

The LED Select parameter is not used for the IRTrans Multistream.

Sorry, specifying the sendmask has no effect, the Multistream keeps sending the IR commands to all outputs.

I tried "snd humax,chan+,1,1", "snd humax,chan+,E,1", , "snd humax,chan+,0,1" and other combinations without succes.

Hi,
you need to add an "m" in front of the sendmask (sorry, that is not mentioned in the docs):

snd humax,chan+,m1

Furthermore when using led selection (for other IRTrans devices) you need an "l" in front of the parameter.
