Can’t Change the LAN Controller XL IP address

I am trying to change the IP address of an IRTANS LAN Controller XL using the following procedure
I using the default address 192.168.0.32 (web interface)
Enter the login userid and password
Click on IP Settings
Uncheck the Use DHCP
Uncheck the option to use 192.18.0.32 when no DHCP is available
Click save setting
I get the red message that it is saved
Enter the new IP address, mask and gateway
Click save setting again
I get the red message that it is saved
Click Reboot System

Then I can’t ping or access the controller using the new address, I tired address in the same range of the default IP address with the same result. I connected the PC and the controller on another switch with nothing else, again the same results. I tried using DHCP server, but the controller would not get an address from it, I tried the IP assign utility but it can’t find the controller or the other IRTRANS devices on the network even though I can ping them. I can only access it again when I reset the device to the factory default using the jumpers using 192.168.0.32
I have followed the same steps with the other IRTRANS devices and it worked perfectly.

which firmware version does the device have ?

Did you try the ip_assign tool ?

How do I check the firmware version? I could not find any information in the web interface.
I tired the IP assign but it can’t find any of the IRTRANS products even the ones that are working and I can ping them.

Hi,
looks like the firmware of your devices is quite old - ip_assign only works with devices with firmwareversions that are around one year old.

You can find the FW Version in the diagnostics window of the IRTrans Server SW.

Please send us an Email, we will then send you a firmware update package.
