VFD clock at shutdown

VFD clock at shutdown

When my pc does a shutddown the clock alwyas disappears from the VFD display. How can I make sure that the Time display stays on the VFD even when the pc is off?

OS: Ubuntu 8.10
OriginAe Case with Irtrans VFD

am I doing somthing wrong or is it such a strange question that nobody answers?

Maybe an other questions has more succes: What do you, is displayed on your VFD when your mediacenter is in power-off mode?

You can set the display to show the clock always by starting the irserver with the -start_clock parameter.
