Hi,
in general you need to start the irserver with the -xbmc option.

By default it is preconfigured for the Microsoft Mediacenter remote. If you are using a different remote you will need to learn the keys and modify the file apps.cfg.

We do not have any startup script for the irserver. That means you are somehow starting the irserver manually. Simply add -xbmc to the options you are using.

Simply add -xbmc to the DAEMON_OPTS.

Hi,

I've got a streamzap remote, for which I've created a streamzap.rem file using the GUI, which contains all the buttons.

My apps.cfg file is empty, I've checked both the linux build tar, and the source tar, and both have empty apps.cfg files, so I don't have anything to modify.

Can you tell me what I should put in my apps.cfg file? Is there a document somewhere describing what can be done with that file?

I assume I'll need to tell irserver which of my defined buttons map to some xbmc calls?
How can I do this, and where are these xbmc calls defined in the first place? Does this have something to do with xbmc keymaps actions, or the Lircmap.xml remote buttons?

And is there any way to tell irtrans to contact a remote xbmc server instead of localhost?

Thank you,
Bernard
