Using Remote with Hulu Desktop

Postby gregms » Tue 20. Oct 2009, 15:13

I have my irtrans setup working fine for both MythTV and even Boxee, but I'm now trying to use irtrans with Hulu. The problem is that Hulu Desktop for Linux requires that lircd be run with the -r (--release) switch. Apparently, the hardware.conf file needs to have REMOTE_LIRCD_ARGS set to -r, so that it enables the release option (REMOTE_LIRCD_ARGS="-r"). My problem is that I don't see any place I can set a release option.

Right now, when I run Hulu Desktop, it does recongize my remote because when I push right, it will go right on the screen, but the program thinks I'm holding down the button (if there is a row, it just keeps going along the row), and will only release when I press a key on the keyboard. At that point, it will accept a new button press, but again it seems to think I'm holding the button down as it won't release it until I press a key on the keyboard.

Any thoughts?

There is no way to configure that.
