Hi,

In Fedora (and probably Ubuntu) the LIRCd socket is /var/run/lirc/lircd instead of /dev/lircd.

Would it be possible to have a parameter for irserver to configure the socket instead of having it define in the source code directly ?

You can simply make a symbolic link. Currently we do not have any plans to make the socket configurable.
