Error learning dreambox remote codes

We have: IRTrans POE DB, LAN version 1.11.00, IR version 6.08.23
while trying to learn codes from one and the same remote, we get different codes for the same button (in this case button 1). As such:

How can this happen and what are we doing wrong?

the IR Codes for the Dreambox are a bit strange.

The code changes if you press the button a bit longer. Anyways, the codes will work fine if you send them.

thank you for the quick answer. But we need to translate this code and send it to network client, so we need to know all codes wich produced from each button. In this case how we can walk around this "bin strange"? May be some options like "Receive tolerance" or something else can help?

Hi,
it might not be possible to translate these codes. It is not a problem of the tolerance. The problem is more that the codes change depending on how long you press the button.

The Dreambox remote is one of the few remotes where receiving / translating of the IR Codes will not be possible.

Please note that it is no problem to learn and send the codes.

You might try to learn a lot of different code for each button - however, you might need a lot of buttons.

Maybe a specific IR Receiver for short pulses might help here.

can you please explain what device is this and how to purchase it?

It is a special IR Receiver that does receive IR Code with short pulses better than the standard receiver.

However, then the problem with the different codes depending on how long you press the button remains.

Furthermore you will need an IRTrans device with a connector for an external receiver.
