I put all on transm..and recei... and i want to learn the command.
Irtrans learned but nothibg happend when i send a command.

I think something go wrong with the learning ir code

Hi,
difficult to say. Maybe the Remote control uses 56kHz Carrier frequency. Then you would need a Learning receiver to learn those codes.

But where can i buy it and why the original don't learn the device! Because
of the freq.!

I also have a universal regular remote control and it learn al the codes and it function!

Now i want to make the database compleet with this new device and then the
irtrans dont support!!!!!!

Then i have version 2.0.5.28302 and Irserver 6.08.38
So can you tell me what i need or if it is possible because i saw that
it also depend of version irtrans! I read something about version 2.2.......!

Hi,
of course the IRTrans can learn the IR Codes, however only with the correct IR Receiver.

The standard receiver supports 36-40kHz.

What IRTrans device do you have? Most devices (execept the IRTrans USB and older PoE/LAN Devices) do support connecting an external Learning receiver.

Of course we do sell those Receivers.

I have the lan device from 2007 / 2008

Is that compatible with the ir learning! Or how do i know that
i have an old one.

I am also from the begining with the problems of learning remote like dreambox also.
Because i use homeseer i write a script for every button but nomarly you can learn the
remote control in homeseer accept dreambox. So i hope that my device is compatible and
tell me then where i need to look for model number and what i need to order.

Hi,
simply have a look at the Type label on the bottom of the device. The hardware version has to be 2.2 or 2.3 to support an external receiver.

You should have a 2.2 device if you bought it in 2007/2008.

Can you give the right type number for the article that i need and then i go to order it.

Do i need a rom update for the device!!!!! And is my dreambox problem then also resolved!
I mean to learn the commands in Homeseer!

Hi,
I suppose you will need a firmware update, yes. The new receiver together with the new firmware will allow you to learn the Dreambox codes easily, too.

Please note that you can only use it to learn IR Codes - not for receiving because the range is only 0.5m.

The part number is COD-RCV-EXT.
