Edit this file: C:\Program Files\IRTrans\remotes\apps.cfg

Add the following line at the bottom of the [COMMANDS] section:

NEXT [KEY]\CTRLF
PREV [KEY]\CTRLB

That worked for me.

Re: Windows 7 Beta/RC WIN 7 OrigenAE VF110 display

Postby melty » Sat 11. Jul 2009, 21:55

I have a VF110 installed and working on WIN 7 BETA/RC
download:
http://www.irtrans.de/de/download/windows.php
or english:
http://www.irtrans.de/en/download/windows.php

////////If you receive the C++ error, install from MS link, then re-start IRTrans Setup.exe again:////////////
download:

64Bit:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

32Bit(x86):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

(My installation worked fine without unpluging the usb or usb header plug)

Installation of the USB driver:

• Before connecting the IRTrans the software (Setup.exe) should be installed. During this process the correct USB driver (32 or 64 Bit) will be automatically preinstalled.
• Now the IRTrans USB device can be connected. The USB driver will be installed automatically.
• In case the IRTrans device is already connected or installed, the driver can be updated or installed via the Windows Device Manager..

right click install as admin (takes awhile to start)
next / next / left click on IP ASSIGN (GUI)<--(optional), Plugins/API's and MCE Display Driver(select: entire feature will be installed on local hard drive) / next / next / all users checked, select type from drop down 1 (OEM DISPLAY), add to start up checked, unckecked install as win service / next / next / finish

restart PC

Universal remote programming:
or standard MCE Remote issue fix?
Start/computer/Local c:/program files/irtrans/remotes/mediacenter.rem right click open with notepad

open:
Start/programs/irtrans/irtrans gui client

IP Assign: enter: localhost if needed.

Mode / learn command / select mediacenter from drop down/click (open / create remote) / next to the green arrow enter any of [1],[2] [NEXT] and so on with out the [] (from the mediacenter.rem notepad) / click (learn command) / point remote to ir receiver and press the corresponding button on remote [1],[2],[next] , do this for all commands as needed / click finish learning / x out of irtrans client window. / close mediacenter.rem notepad / open MCE and test remote function.

Hmm, no idea what you are doing with ip_assign. - It is a programm only needed for IRTrans Ethernet devices to set their IP addresses.

Are the IRTrans USB/DB9 IR Receivers recognised by Windows 7 MCE during the TV Signal Setup config? The OEM VF110 was not.
It would be nice if there is/was a way to translate the IR input signal via IRTans to (hex) cable box via the RS232,Firewire or USB port. Does the IRTrans USB Receiver have this ability.

The OEM IRTrans devices do not support any sending or signal output.

No idea what the problem is. Please note that we do not support OEM devices not manufactured or sold by IRTrans.

Please ask OrigenAE for support.
