I downloaded the IR Trans from you site. I have a zalman hd160 case that has a ir trans receiver in it. My computer is running Vista Home Premium x64. When I run the setup.exe I can not get passed the prequisites of the installation. It tell me to use windows update to download Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 8.0 x64. I went to the microsoft site and typed this into the download center and all that I came up with was Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 or 2008 Redistributable bundle x64. So I tried installing both of those, but still cant get passed the prequisites screen of the ir trans installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
you do not need to download these components from Microsoft - the installer will do it on it's own.
However, it will need an internet connection on the PC to do that.

It doesnt download the update. It tells me to manually go to windows update and download it myself. Then the install fails. Is there a place where I can manually download the app that the irtrans installer wants me to download and install it myself before running the irtrans installation.

I have exactly the same problem.
Setup:
VF110 (OrigenAE H6)
Win7 Beta
Strange thing: I had the VF110 installed and running on the same win7 install I'm using right now. After some driver problems (not related to the IRTrans module) I had to recover to a previous recovery point. After that, the VF110 won't install the C++ runtime anymore.

We have just released a new software version that should fix the x64 installation problems that appeared on a few Vista and Windows 7 systems.
Please note that this is not a specific Windows 7 release.

No idea why - this release was tested and installs correctly on Windows 7 x64.
