External LEDs Characteristics?

I recently purchased the IRT-TRANS-HPK- External High-power IR Blaster for use with my Itrans WiFi.

My application is to control several skylights. What I have found is that the Internal LED signal operates fine to control all 3 skylights whereas the External IR Blaster has a narrower beam that will only operate 2 of the 3 skylights.

I am wishing to use the external IR & be able to hide the IRTrans box. Is my experience of a narrow beam consistent with your experience with the external IR blaster? Any suggestions?

Hi,
so far we did not make this experience. The external HPK Transmitter uses the same IR LEDs as we use internally.

Did you set the internal jumper for the HPK Transmitter?

No, I did not set a jumper - I looked through the IRTrans External Transmitters sheet but did not identify a picture matching the IRTrans WiFi. Can you identify where the jumper should be positioned.

Thank you.

Hi,
please set the jumper directly below the connector for the External Transmitter.

Yes, the problem seems to be the lack of the jumper. With the jumper installed I am getting the same results as with the internal IR LEDs.

Thank you.
